About Me

About Keira

Keira is a 12 year old girl who lives in Georgia.

I am in 6th grade. I am also a member of the National Beta Club at my school, won the Presidential Award of Academic Excellence, and I am a straight-A student.

I have been interested in the environment when I was in 5th grade, but when I read an article about Greta Thunberg, my passion for the climate ignited. I am doing this for my generation, and for humanity.

I have written letters to my Senator, Mayor, and Representative concerning climate change. At my school, I write articles about climate change, in the online newsletter. I have watched An Inconvient Truth, a documentary by Al Gore and I plan to meet with my Representatives about the climate crisis soon. At home, I am in the process of convincing my family to be more eco-friendly and aware of this crisis.

I have recently attended Al Gore's Climate Reality Leadership training, and I am currently writing a book about the climate crisis that will be released by the end of this year.

My mission

We want to get people in general to join, but this is mainly focused on kids in middle school. Their generation is going to be greatly affected by climate change, and this is giving them a chance to act. Kids in high school are already taking action, but kids in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade are going unnoticed with taking climate action. They don't have to quit school, but they can at least do something about the climate crisis. We are trying to make the economy more green, reduce the amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, if not, eliminate them. This organization is unbiased, and all ideas are welcome.
