Is climate change real?

Some people fully understand climate change. While this is good, there are also some people that don't have a complete understanding of it. Some people believe in things that are not true about climate change. I am not doing this to make fun of anyone who believes any of these statements. This is completely based on science. I received most of my information on this page from skepticalscience.com, World Wildlife Fund, NASA, and climaterealityproject.

Myth #1: The climate has changed before.

Why this is a myth: Yes, the climate has changed before, but according to skepticalscience, the climate changes in the past were ancient and they were mostly cold ones. This one that we are experiencing is a warm one and takes place right here and right now. World Wildlife Fund indicates that "17 of the 18 warmest years on record have taken place since 2001."

Myth #2: The climate is changing, but it isn't bad.

Why this is a myth: According to climaterealityproject, the climate can majorly affect our economy, our health, and even our nutrition. It can have a devastating effect on humanity if it isn't solved. Point is... is it really nothing to worry about? Click on the link above to find out more about this statement.

Myth #3: It's not our fault... it's the sun!

Why this is a myth: According to NASA, the sun is actually cooling, and not warming our planet.

Myth #4: Global warming? Its freezing!

Why this is a myth: According to National Geographic, a cold day in winter has nothing to do with the long-term trend of global warming.

Myth #5: It's not our fault!

Why this is a myth: According to climaterealityproject, the greenhouse gases trap heat in our atmosphere. We know that humans are burning fossil fuels, and releasing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. So, the only conclusion is that humans are the primary cause of climate change.
